Digital radiography

Digital radiography

Digital periapical radiographys/bitewings, panoramic radiograph/OPG (2D) and digital cone-beam computertomography (CBCT)

We can take digital periapical/bitewing radiographs as well as digital panoramic x-rays/OPGs and three-dimensional cone-beam computer tomographies (CB CT) in our surgery in Darmstadt. The defining advantages are a faster diagnosis, better communication with referring colleagues and the reduction of the radiation of up to 90%.
The precision of such radiographs with a tolerable radiation has increased considerably with the introduction of digital systems. With such techniques it is possible to make a clear diagnosis about oral structures that are otherwise invisible, in particular about bone and to some extend cartilage as well as the position and dimension of neighbouring structures such as nerve canals, sinuses and jaw joints.
